Large Projects - Bespoke Quote

A realistic portrait of a woman with dark skin and natural hair, looking to the side, with a neutral expression on her face, set against a light, neutral background.
A painting of a woman in traditional Indian bridal attire seated and smiling while another woman, dressed in elegant clothing and jewelry, leans in to kiss her on the forehead.

How do I work?

It all starts by discussing your project and what is important to you!

I will help you choose from the different options to ensure the best possible Portrait is produced. I work essentially based on the photographs you send me…. If required (and possible) I am happy to travel to you to organise a seating and take my own photos.

In all case, we will then review the material together and choose the best options, based on the subject and the quality of the pictures (it needs to be sufficient to allow me to work).

Discussing Your Project

I work essentially with Pastels, as I really love their texture, the softness of the colors and beauty of the pigments. They also allow for a wide variety of formats and have extremely long conservation time (centuries…), which is really ideal for portraits.

The time of completion can vary from 1 week to a couple of months, depending on the scale and the complexity required.

I can also work with Oil painting, time can be a bit longer to allow for a longer painting process and drying time before varnishing and framing.

The Painting Process

Payment, Completion and Delivery…

For Small Square paintings, payments are taken upfront.

For all other projects, a 50% of the agreed price deposit is paid upfront, and the rest of the payment is due on completion.

Shipment, or in person portrait delivery, is made once all project amount is paid.

Payment

Once the commission is confirmed, I will start the work and will keep you posted of the progress! Some people like to receive some update at each stage of the painting, some prefer a big reveal! It’s up to you!

Small Squares and Head & Bust pastel paintings will take typically a couple of weeks to complete, larger projects will require a month or two.

Work in Progress & Completion

I will love to come to you and deliver the portrait in person! If you are living in Greater London, I am happy to do so!

For other commissions, I will ship anywhere in the world.

I will quote the shipment separately, based on the courrier and packaging costs.
